Native Plant Connection, located east of San Diego in Descanso, California maximizes outplanting health and survival of Southern California native flora by using native soil in our mix and hardening our plants off months prior to outplanting. We have a large selection of native plant species including grasses, forbs, shrubs and trees.

One of our goals is to provide contract grown plants from site specific seed. Current customers include restoration contractors, consulting companies, municipalities, landscapers and home gardeners. We provide a full service approach, maximizing your investment every step of the way. From seed collection to delivery of product, everything is performed with project success in mind. 

Another of our goals is to heighten community awareness of the benefits and beauty of using native plants for a variety of applications. In this area we provide native plants to local nurseries, support ecological educational projects, and consult in restoration and plant ecology. 

It is our hope that through education and example we can help show people the benefits and beauty of native plants. Our nursery has plants that attract wildlife, including native bees, hummingbirds and butterflies. Most native plants are drought tolerant and do well in designed gardens. Whether you are designing a large scale restoration project or a butterfly garden for your backyard we would love to be a part of the process.
